In an effort to improve the appearance of Farmers Branch neighborhoods, the City Council approved the Residential Incentive Program, offering awards to residents who create new housing as well as current residents who improve the appearance of their existing home. As a means of further encouraging neighborhood beautification, the Residential Incentive Program was augmented by the Yard of the Month Program, recognizing one yard in each quadrant of the City each month. Farmers Branch takes great pride in the 27 parks, interconnected with walking trails, that fill the City’s 12 square miles. Branded as “The City in a Park,” Farmers Branch parks offer many recreational activities that are at the foundation of the community.
Farmers Branch also offers exceptional City amenities and services. The City has one of the lowest tax rates in Dallas County, offers free garbage service, is home to state-of-the-art City facilities, and the list goes on. In conjunction with the City's amenities and services, Farmers Branch is on the brink of major redevelopment and new development.
Future expansion is abound in Farmers Branch. Whether it’s Farmers Branch’s housing stock, new development, redevelopment, or the many other projects that are in progress to enhance the City, Farmers Branch is definitely embarking on a journey of positive change and improvement.
